I’m Daniel, and my journey in the footwear industry already goes over two decades. From my beginnings in Bavaria, Germany, to leading manufacturing initiatives for global brands, I’ve dedicated my career completely to shoes.

My passion for shoes started in 2003 with a 3.5-year dual apprenticeship as an Orthopedic Shoemaker in Kempten/Allgäu. This experience taught me the complex craft of handcrafting orthopedic shoes, creating custom insoles, and making precise modifications for individuals with special needs.

In 2009, I expanded my expertise at the Deutsche Schuhfachschule für Design & Technik in Pirmasens, where I learned shoe design, pattern engineering, quality management, industrial manufacturing, and much more. This solid foundation paved the way for my professional journey from handcrafting shoes into industrial shoemaking.

My career took off in 2011 at HAIX, where I worked in Development on footwear for firefighting, safety, outdoor, and police/military applications. Over five years, I gained invaluable experience in design, development, vendor selection, materials sourcing, costing, engineering, testing, production, and so much more across Europe and Asia.

In 2016, I moved to Taiwan to join NIKE as a Product Engineer for Athletic Footwear. Collaborating with a global team and factory partners, I played a key role in developing football, athletic training, and basketball shoes. My focus was on driving product development, ensuring cost efficiency, and turning innovative designs into high-quality prototypes as well as making them ready for commercialization.

My journey with Nike continued in Vietnam in 2019 as a Manufacturing Engineer, where I focused on commercialization of new developments into production, quality control, production transfers, automation, etc. By 2021, I was promoted to Manufacturing Manager, leading a team of senior engineers and driving strategic initiatives like Manufacturing System related work.

In 2023, I decided to leverage my extensive experience to start Footwear Solution. As a consultant, I’m dedicated to helping brands, factories, and suppliers navigate the complexities of the footwear industry. My goal is to use my expertise to assist you in creating exceptional products that stand out in the market.
